Michelle began her writing and editorial career at Tokyopop, where she was an editor for Japanese street fashion magazine the Gothic & Lolita Bible in 2007. She continued writing about niche cultures and fandoms for Geek.com, GeekandSundry.com, DefectiveGeeks.com and SuperAttacku. 

Michelle has written editorials, interviews, reviews, and news coverage professionally, and has also writes scripts for the various shows she appears on.

Michelle recently created a collaborative story for Asian Pacific Islander American Heritage Month featuring personal stories of change and triumph from leaders in the geek field. This article can be found here on Fandom.com.
